Tickets for the John Deere 720 Diesel Tractor are still on sale for $10 each
They can be purchased from any board member or at the following locations:
Lorain County Soil and Water office on Russia Road in Elyria
Polen Implement, Elyria

The tractor will be on display and tickets will also be available at the following events.
Saturday September 14 - Wellington FFA Alumni Tractor Poker Run
Lagrange Engine Club Show at the Lorain County Fairgrounds - September 20, 21, 22
Saturday September 28 - Lorain County Farm Bureau Fall Farm Tour

The winning ticket will be pulled at the annual Reverse Raffle Gala Fundraiser Event on Saturday November 16 at the Lorain County Fairgrounds

Tickets for our annual Reverse Raffle Gala Fundraiser Event are now on sale. The tickets are $50 each, which entitles the ticket holder to appetizers/snacks, dinner, dessert, beer/wine, entertainment and a number on the main board for a chance at the grand prize.
Only 300 tickets will be sold. This is an adult event, age 21 and over only.
Tickets can be purchased from any board member or by mailing a check, payable to Friends LC Jr Fair to P O Box 732 Lagrange OH 44050
Your tickets will be mailed to you.

The Lorain County United Way Fund campaign in now underway. If you are planning on participating through payroll deduction did you know that Friends of Lorain County Junior Fair can be designated to receive your donation? We are an IRS approved 501(c)(3)non-profit organization. When filling out your donation card you need to select the organization that your donation will go to. At the bottom of the card is a space for "other". Just list Friends of Lorain County Junior Fair and the amount you would like to donate. The funds will be forwarded to us.

Our next monthly board meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 7 pm
The meeting will be held at Farm Credit Office, 530 S Main Street, Oberlin.
All meetings are open to the public and we appreciate visitors and additional support.

We will be doing the hay bale decorating contest at the Lorain County fair again this year. We participated last year and received an honorable mention ribbon. We felt that was very nice of the judges because we did not do it to win a prize. We do this for the promotion opportunity. We are continually trying to get the word out to everyone in Lorain County about the serious problem we have with the funding of our 4-H program in Lorain County. We have found that there are people in the county who are still not aware and some who do not believe there is even a problem and are spreading false information. Our sincere thanks to everyone who has helped us in any way by donating to our fundraisers, making cash donations and helping to spread the word.

The Friends of Lorain County Junior Fair have received a $4,000 donation from the Lorain County Dairy Youth Auction. We know how much work went into raising that money and thank you for your wonderful donation.

We are making some changes to our annual gala fundraiser event this year. First, the event will be held earlier in the year. The date this year will be on Saturday, November 16, 2013. Second, the event will be held in fair hall at the Lorain County Fairgrounds. We are still in the planning stages of this event but would like everyone to mark their calendars and save the date.
As always we are planning a fun filled evening for everyone. More information and tickets will be available soon.
